The European Peace Research Association (EuPRA) board unequivocally condemns the ongoing genocide and systematic human rights violations perpetrated over the past 19 months by the settler-colonial project of Israel against the Palestinian people.

What we are witnessing is not an isolated crisis, but the continuation of a decades-long campaign of dispossession, occupation, apartheid, torture, and killings—in short, genocide by attrition. These acts constitute not only grave breaches of international humanitarian law but also clear violations of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948) and the definition of crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (1998).

We demand immediate international accountability.

As a European organization, we demand that the European Union and all European governments immediately end all forms of political, economic, and military cooperation with Israel. Continued complicity in such crimes is a betrayal of Europe’s own commitments to human rights, peace and international law.

We further demand an immediate cessation of all violence in the West Bank and Jerusalem, where home demolitions, settler pogroms, arbitrary arrests, and extrajudicial killings persist with impunity. The genocide by attrition taking place across all of Palestine must end immediately.

We call for the urgent and unconditional opening of Gaza to United Nations agencies, international food and medical organizations, and independent investigators. The international community must act to halt the massacre and ensure full accountability.

As an academic association, EuPRA fully endorses the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS). In line with this, we do not and will not cooperate with Israeli institutions complicit in the occupation and violation of Palestinian rights. Academic freedom must never be used to shield systemic violence and oppression.

Silence and neutrality in the face of genocide are forms of complicity.

We stand firmly in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for justice, liberation, and peace.
