Sensing-thinking together for building peace

The Congress of the European Peace Research Association (EuPRA) held in Pisa from November 5 to 9, 2024, noted the urgency of sensing-thinking together to build peace, in a global context marked by the multiplication of armed conflicts, the increase of inequality and the proliferation of hate speeches that legitimize exclusion and the imposition of the postulates of some over the lives of others.

We're thrilled to announce that we received close to 140 abstracts for the EuPRA Conference in Pisa, Italy, scheduled from November 5th to November 9th, 2024. In addition, we're excited to share a unique opportunity for all conference attendees. In collaboration with the esteemed online open-access journal Scienze e Pace (Sciences and Peace), we invite participants to submit their papers for a chance to be published.

Johan Vincent Galtung: A Trailblazer of Peace and Hope

Johan Vincent Galtung, pioneer of Peace Studies, died on 17 February 2024 at the age of 93. A man of tireless energy, he was an academic, a peace worker, an activist and a tireless self-promoter. Trained as a Mathematician and Sociologist, he devoted his entire life to the issues of conflict and peace from an international perspective.
